The European Union on Jan. 8 reached a deal with Moscow on monitoring Russian natural gas flow through Ukraine, but it is not clear when Russia will resume pumping the gas, The Associated Press reported, citing unnamed officials. EU monitors are set to go to Ukraine on Jan. 9. Ukraine's position on the deal is unknown, and officials did not say who will supervise the gas supplies.
